Elegant Parisian architecture

Paris - the city of the lights - had a huge urban remodeling around the mid 1800’s. The French civic planner Baron Haussmann started a very important urbanization project in a city where the streets were narrow and limited. He prepared Paris for having the wide avenues lined with neo-classical buildings that we can see today in this beautiful city.

The building code in Paris has had only few changes since the 19th century that is since the Second Empire – the regime of Napoleon III from 1852 to 1870. By that time Paris approved a law that would define the building’s high according to the width of the street and that would also predetermine the street width.

Paris is unique in many aspects. Not having as many incredible tall buildings as other big capital cities of the world is also one of them. The magnificent architecture and the charm of this magical city will surely captivate you.
