Hotel André Gill is a charming, quiet, family run establishment, located at the heart of Montmatre. Perfect for those travelling on a budget, this 2 star hotel can be found on Andre Gil Street, a little side street off of Martyrs Street, famous for its atmosphere, restaurants, bars, cabarets and concert halls (Michou, Madame Arthur, Le divan du Monde, La Cigale). These rooms are spread over six floors which are easily reached via a central lift. The attractive paintings of Montmatre which decorate the hotel are the works of local artists on Tertre Square. Guests have a computer room, a TV room with DVD, a microwave and a fridge at their disposal. Hotel Andre Gill was very good in a few areas. Firstly, having a night porter made me feel instantly safe in what seemed to be a slightly darker side of Paris. The main high street is quite 'sexed' up which was a surprise. However, from the hotel upwards, towards Sacre Coeur I felt we were in a very nice part of the City. The staff were incredibly friendly and the two cats and little dog were particularly nice to see whilst abroad. The street on which the hotel is on is nice and enough out of the way that it is quiet. The hotel being quite old meant that you could hear doors shut and people talking on the same floor as you which on a Friday night I suppose you should expect. The beds were not that comfortable but there were plenty of covers. The bathroom was fine, we had a hand held shower which we ended up tying up around one of the pipes so it was a great shower in the end! For a two star hotel I think you get what you expect, a practical place to spend a few days. Location was great in reagrds of the metro. |

Excellent accueil. Personnel très professionnel et sympathique. Propre. La rénovation de l'hôtel doit se poursuivre, la qualité de la prestation est juste suffisante. |

Muy pequeño. Buen servicio. Bien ubicado, parada de metro cercana. Calle tranquila, sin ruidos. Como pasé los dÃas conociendo la ciudad, el hotel sólo lo necesitaba para ducharme, dormir y desayunar. Para esto este hotel es perfecto. |

Reception staff were v helpful and willing to please. Luckily my cousin and I are both quite slim otherwise I don't we would have been able to fit into the beds, the lift and the bathroom! |

Ds Hotel war sauber, sehr zentral gelegen, das Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind recht klein und da zentral gelegen auch nachts nicht ganz ruhig. Dennoch ist das Hotel empfehlenswert. |
